“What I am anxious to see in Christian believers is a beautiful paradox. I want to see in them the joy of finding God while at the same time they are blessedly pursuing Him. I want to see in them the great joy of having God yet always wanting Him.” A. W. Tozer

Sermon #15: Jesus & Eternal Life

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him." - John 3:36 (NIV)

This is how serious it is.

If you believe in the Son, you have eternal life...now and forever. On the other hand, if your aunt does not believe in the Son, it means you are living in a totally different world from hers. Your aunt doesn't have eternal life and shall not see it, unless she gives her life to Christ. Just imagine yourself in her condition!

An article that I posted online two years ago had a statement which read something like, "Receive Jesus Christ and get yourself a life." It angered one reader. He posted a comment which read, "You unnecessarily elevate Christians. You mean none believers do not have life?" It is God who means it; that's were I got it from.

Of course non-believers have life, but it's not the kind that John referred to.

John says, "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him" - John 3:36 (NIV).
